Contemporary Literacy through Digital Storytelling

Technology is the big bang that has propelled literacy into an ever expanding universe. It has always been a two way street (reading without writing does not add up to literacy), and now the dimensions for how we take in, process and build new knowledge include many forms beyond pencil and paper.

"We are nothing more than the stories we tell" says Jennifer James, a cultural anthropologist. Beyond this, we realize that it is our questions, rather than the answers, that shape our future.

There are three projects we plan on using to build our students' skills for contemprorary literacy. These are:
