Report from TCEA '97 Date: Weds, 5 Feb 1997 Hi folks, Greetings from the Action Learning Lab, live in the exhibit hall of the 17th annual Texas Computer Education Association statewide conference. The conference themes of "Bridges for a Changing World...access, connectivity, curriculum and professional development" are being pursued by over 7,000 people. These goals come together here as 10 teams of students and educator/facilitators from around the state build a "Bridge to Antarctica". Amidst the traditional vendors, people have the chance to see students and teachers applying technology to learning, in multidisciplinary, collaborative group work. Their work will be ongoing over the next two days, viewable by visitors to the exhibit hall, and on the WWW at: http://tcea.cc.utexas/conf97/online/action. Moments ago I had the honor of issuing the Challenge to the Action Learning Lab teams, which I'd like to share with you now...feel free to share this with others. Ferdi |
